The annual military defense spending bill, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) is now considering the “potential use of distributed ledger technology for defense purposes”. 

If the bill is passed, the bill explains that the spending for fiscal year 2020 under the Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering will detail the use of blockchain technology to improve cybersecurity for “vulnerable assets such as energy, water and transport grid through distributed and centralized computing”.
